Maybelline BABY LIPS Part 2

Oh yes! I just couldn't resist! I did buy the other two that I said I would buy...

I bought the Hydrate and Peach Kiss. (I even have the Hydrate on me now as we speak.)

I bought these in Tesco 2 for £5 at the moment.

Now I have all the BABY LIPS that I want!

L-R: Pink Punch, Cherry Me, Peach Kiss & Hydrate.

If I have to choose which one is my favourite, I would go for Cherry Me. I use it almost everyday! It's got that natural red blush colour that enhances the colour of my lips. But now that I have Hydrate, I might use this one more often. I use Pink Punch when I go out. As for Peach Kiss, I'm not so sure if the colour comes out too much when applied on, but I still love the subtle orange-y colour. I have very red lips naturally and it's sometimes hard to put on lighter coloured lipstick on them without putting a bit of concealer first.

Swatches. L-R: Pink Punch, Hydrate, Peach Kiss & Cherry Me.

I would definitely buy these again (more particularly Cherry Me & Hydrate) as they really work for me as a lip balm in general. The only other lip balm that has worked for me and have used over and over again is Chaptstick's Green Apple but that wasn't tinted so these Baby Lips collection is truly a cherry on top of the ice cream.

(K-POP) EXO Growl

Just want to say that I am so addicted to EXO's song Growl! It's been playing in my head all week! "NA URURONG URURONG URURONG DE! NA URURONG URURONG URURONG DE! NA URURONG URURONG URURONG DE!" Even when I woke up this morning it's the first thing that was playing in my head! I even have the bloody addictive song on repeat right now, as I'm writing this blog!

The song is so upbeat and catchy! I'm not really a fan of EXO but I've been keeping my eye on them for a while now. I'm more of a YG Stan (lol) but I like other Korean artists from here and there like B.A.P. I know they debuted ages ago but I have to say... EXO is growing on me! They have good harmony and all of them are good at singing and dancing. Not only that they are really packed full of talents! I'm looking forward to my future fangirling with these boys. For now, Growl is the only song that stood out for me from them. As for EXO biases I have two! Lay and Chanyeol! Cuteness overload! Haha!

"NA URURONG URURONG URURONG DE! NA URURONG URURONG URURONG DE! NA URURONG URURONG URURONG DE!"

A/W13 TREND ALERT! OVERSIZED JACKETS & COATS

This season's trends are now set and I have to say, some are my kind of style. I have always been a fan of oversized clothing and actually own a few (okay, maybe a lot!) oversized clothing that I have collected over time. Some from vintage stores, some are hand-me-downs from elders and some I bought from high street shops. Here are some of the Oversized Pieces that I love from the catwalk. (catwalk photos grabbed from style.com)

I love this Dolce and Gabbana coat!  The tartan/paisley print is also on trend this season. I would've loved this better if it was in red though.

Furrrr... I super LOVE this Saint Laurent fur coat! It just looks so warm and soft. Not to mention that it screams LUXURY all over it! I also adore the old-ish pastel colour which adds in a chic style to the coat.

Girly, neat and smart. Simone Rocha's coat is perfect for everyday stylish corporate ladies out there. The pastel pink colour has a nice tone to it, sure will attract positive attention! Perfect for 'afternoon tea' days out too! Plus, how nice are those matching boots?!

Now that I have shown my designer picks, I'll show you some high street/online pieces that I have come across and particularly like whilst browsing online and window shopping!

LOVE ASOS! I always do my shopping on this site! Hence, my ASOS Premier membership! I'm recently fond of boucle and this oversized blazer just ticks all the boxes for the current trends. It's oversized, grungy and punk looking. I actually have a jacket similar to this but in a different colour. So, definitely something I would wear in a day to day basis.

H&M Short Coat. Oversized, fur, contrasting trims - Need I say more?

Another choice from H&M. I love the sheepskin look. And I just love wearing beige/natural colours!

Oversized blazer from Bershka (£29.99). I love the pastel colour! I would probably wear this with rolled-up sleeves and a buttoned up shirt. The trendy office-girl look.

This coat is from Mango (£119.99). Another coat that I would wear everyday! It's also wool-blend, which makes it warm during the cold, freezing days of winter. Can match with oversized scarf too, anyone?

GEO Grang Grang (Big) CHOCO Circle Lens Review

I was woken up by a knock on the door one morning... A parcel came from the post coming from Hong Kong. I only ordered one thing that will be coming from Hong Kong, that is my circle lenses! I bought the GEO GRANG GRANG (BIG) CHOCO CIRCLE LENSES from Eye Candy's. I bought my very first circle lenses from them and I have been a very satisfied customer since. So I decided to buy a second one!

Here's what's inside!

The circle lenses are inside a  cute little pouch bag and came in a bottle unlike other usual contact lenses that are in plastic disposable containers. The package came with a Wear & Care guide which is very useful and helpful for first time users and remind those who are already using them for a time. The contact card also serves as a little note card for you to write on to remind you of when your circle lenses are going to expire. Pretty Good right? However I didn't expect to get a free lens case! And to add to that, they are so cute!

I got an adorable Mio Friends Character Lens Case that also came with lens tweezers.

These circle lenses are soft lenses and made in South Korea. I ordered these particular contact lenses because they can be ordered with your eye prescription rate. I'm a little blind so I have to be able to see when I put these contacts on. It would be so pointless to wear glasses on top of the circle lenses right?

Here's what I look like when I put them on... (sorry excuse my face. lol)

I've put the lenses on for more than 8 hours, they were very comfortable and did not dry at all. They look very natural with my brown eyes and barely noticeable unless looking closely. I initially thought they would be too big and obvious but once I've put them on they look great. I love the fact that it's very subtle but gives out the doll look very nicely.

Overall, I love this circle lenses! Anything that is comfortable for my eyes is a plus! You can wear these for everyday but I don't normally wear contacts on a daily basis so I would definitely wear these when I go out.

Muller Corner de Luxe Yogurt - Creme Praline (Review)

So, I was in Tesco shopping for food and came across this new luxury versions of Muller Corner yogurts. They come in four different flavours; After Dinner Mint, Coconut Dream, Marc de Champagne and Creme Praline.  I don't really eat or particularly like the other three flavours so I only picked one which, looks like I will enjoy the best. CREME PRALINE.

THE PACKAGING. I have to say that the packaging does scream luxury all over it. Black, brown and GOLD. Oh yeah~ Muller definitely chose the perfect combination of colours on this one. I love the packaging! It's definitely something that would catch my eyes and take interest to look at.

They are sold in packs of two for £1.69 each. I bought mine buy one get one free! Yes. Bargain~

NOW LET'S OPEN IT!

It is served as usual like all the other Muller corners. Separated with two sides. Praline flavoured yogurt on the larger side and chocolate coated crispy balls on the other.

When it comes to the way of eating Muller Corner I am always the "Tippist" [click here for reference]. I like it quick and simple - just dive in to devour it. Why would I like to play around with my food? Haha. It's a different story when I'm the one serving it though. I like to design/garnish foods that I cook/make.

Now if you mix the yogurt, scooping around from underneath the dark chocolate layer will appear! This makes it even more enticing to eat!

THE TASTE. The Praline Yogurt tastes like yogurt with a hint of praline, there was the nuttiness and sweetness together with the sour taste of yogurt that tastes so good. It has a smooth texture that melts in your mouth when you eat it. Lovely. The chocolate coated crispy balls add a whole different texture and sensation to your eating experience. As for the added dark chocolate. If you mix them all together, it just takes it to a whole new level. It was smooth, it was velvety, it was chocolatey, it was crispy. It was delicious. I think the luxurious part of the flavour is the distinct taste of praline mixed with the dark chocolate. Definitely my new favourite yogurt flavour!

IT'S "MULLERLICIOUS" INDEED!

Maybelline BABY LIPS Lip Balm

So I was window shopping yesterday and passed by the Boots store to check out some offers on cosmetics and I saw the Maybelline range on 3 for 2 (Buy 3 for the price of 2). I came across these Baby Lips Lip Balm range which, apparently is new here in the UK. I don't really wear lipstick that much because my lips are always dry and it makes it even more dry! So tinted lip balms are good for me! I thought I would give them a try so bought 2 colours, Cherry Me (015) and Pink Punch (025), I also bought a nail polish which, I will review next time.

(Sorry I got so excited to try them on I opened Pink Punch before I even got home!)

Having to put Pink Punch on straight away, the tint is a subtle pink on my lips. It has a sweet smell but doesn't taste like anything. The lip balm made my lips softer after applying on my lips, which I really like! AND! It did last for hours! My lips were so soft and hydrated until the evening.

THE VERDICT: I love them! For £2.99 each you get a lip balm and lipstick in one. This is good for people with dry lips most of the time like me and would like to add some visible colour/tint on your lips. I would definitely buy another two in Quenched (005) and Peach Kiss (030).

Daily Facial Regime

Hello! Welcome to my blog! For my very first post I would like to introduce to you my Daily Facial Regime. What better way to start your style and beauty blog than talking about your daily essentials!
I used to use Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish (Hot Cloth Cleanser), Instant Boost (Skin Tonic) and Skin Repair Moisturiser (Dry/Sensitive) which, worked very well for my skin but sadly it is a little pricey so I had to find a cheaper that works just the same for my skin. So now, I use the Boots Botanics range to clean my face every morning and night. The Boots Botanics come in many ranges such as Organic, Radiant Youth and All Bright.
I particularly use the ‘All Bright’ range for my face but you can mix and match it with other ranges to work with your needs or preferences. As you can see I have an Organic and Radiant Youth product too. The reason why I love using this Boots range is that it leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and soft afterwards. It smells nice too!

The ALL BRIGHT Cleansing Foam Wash. This is normally my first step at night when I clear all the make up I use in the day. The foam wash itself already smells good and it’s also not too foamy which, I like. It doesn’t take of the make up as much but it melts it so it makes it easier for the next step to take it off. After cleansing, my skin feels fresh and clean although if you were wearing mascara and eyeliner it looks like a fresh panda face! Haha! This does dry the face a little bit after patting dry if you leave it for a few minutes so I suggest to go to the next step straight away or put your face cream after drying your face.

The ALL BRIGHT Gentle Cleansing Cream. This is the second step at night and first step in the morning. I apply this using a round cotton wool, just squeeze a little bit (or depending on how much make up you were wearing to take off) on it and wipe around your face. The cream takes off the make up and excess dirt that the foam wash wasn’t able to wash off. After applying the cream my face becomes visibly clean and soft! And it smells good too!

The ALL BRIGHT Cleansing Toner. The third step at night and second step in the morning. This is also applied with a round cotton wool. If you thought that after the cleansing cream your face is completely clean then you’re wrong. The toner wipes off the cream and takes away the impurities in your skin. This also serves to freshen my skin.

The RADIANT YOUTH Protecting Day Cream. This is always the last and final step on my daily regime. After applying the cream on my face, it is so soft and smooth. I normally have dry and sensitive face and this keeps my skin. This keeps my face moisturised all day and I also use it as a primer before I apply make up on, it doesn’t make my foundation or concealer flaky at all. This also smells lovely.

The ORGANIC Rosewater Toning Spritz. I only use this to freshen up my skin during the day. I spray it on my face to hydrate and also cool it in the summer.

The ALL BRIGHT Purifying Face Scrub. I only use this once a week. It removes all the built up impurities and unclogs my pores.
I have been using this range for more than five years and never really looked back. It doesn’t necessarily make my face lighter but it makes it look a lot brighter and healthier. Especially as I don’t normally get a full 8 hour sleep and always busy stressed out, this helps a whole lot to keep my face clear and blemish free.

Some people comment on how strong the scent of the products are but for me it's okay. I find all of them smell lovely and fresh although some may smell stronger than the others like the Radiant Youth Protecting Day Cream, but I don't really mind it. If it works well why change it? Right?

By the way the Boots Botanics Range is available to buy at Boots Stores all over UK and also online. I believe this also available in the USA now.
